The Influence of Consumer Court in Grievances and Redressal on Consumer Goods

Abstract
Consumer goods marketing in Kerala is one of the budding and aggressive marketing techniques of the State. Marketing initiates starts from identification of prerequisites of consumers and ends with their contentment. Hence, consumer is said to be the king in a free market economy. The wide purpose of any marketing plan is to precede the experience of product or service, depending on the precise goal. When the companies develop an innovative marketing strategy, it is significant to recognize and comprehend the pulses of the ultimate consumer. Understanding prospective customers enables better result. But unfortunately, some companies try to capture the market with some unethical and low-level products. This has made the marketing process a complex situation and resulted in severe grievances. The study focus on factors responsible for the proper attention of the consumer court in settlement of the grievances of customers. The target group of the study is the consumers who have purchased refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner and mobile phones. The study found that gratuitous delay and cost of claim, Stumpy involvement of consumer court, Derisory Human Resources, Squat Morale of the officials, are factors for proper attention of consumer court.
