Abstract
Education is one of the most crucial factors in empowering people with skill and knowledge and in giving them access to productive employment in the future and the quality of education is absolutely essential for the steady progress of a nation. Educational quality in every stage is thus a serious concern all over the world. This becomes all the more important in the age of globalization which ensures that only the fittest can survive. The changing global scenario and resultant major changes have had their implications in all sectors. The field of education is no exception to this. Therefore, it is inevitable to provide quality education and equip the learner with the ability to face the growing challenges of this complex world. The Education Commission, while describing the role of education in the social and economic transformation of India, has commented that the destiny of India is now being shaped in her classrooms.
